Multplier Event in Ireland

We visited the Community and Youth Work 2nd Year Class in Dundalk Institute of Technology where our EU and Special Projects Officer Paul Crewe shared the results of our United for Social Transformation project.

The students were very keen to hear about the results of the project and also about the potential of the Erasmus+ Programme for Irish youth work. He also delivered a short participatory input on the topic of ‘Active Citizenship’. It was clear that the youth work students were unfamiliar with Erasmus+ in the field of youth work and the opportunities that are available. This session allowed them to learn more information about this area. Additionally, the interactive workshop on active citizenship proved to provoke many thoughts and ideas regarding the role they can play in empowering young people to be active citizens.

Thanks to the students and lecturer Kevin McParland for the kind invitation and warm welcome.
